The customer could have chosen this simple design in our Classic Shed range; however, they wanted to have as high a quality shed as possible, so they opted for the Superior, which has thicker framing on the walls, a thicker door, floor joists and roof framing, and a taller eave height.
The pent roof has got our heavy duty felt on, which is a thick, propane torched on felt to ensure it’s waterproof, and it has a life expectancy of 12-15 years.
Our standard Light Oak preservative has been used to paint the shed, which gives the timber protection against woodworm and fungi, and leaves it looking natural. If the customer wants to continue using a natural preservative on the timber, they will need to need to paint the shed every year, or they could opt for a longer-lasting preservative, stain or paint that will require less maintenance.
