As you can probably tell from the photograph, the customer is currently in the process is re-designing her garden, and the summerhouse is the next stage in getting it closer to completion.
This Wiveton is 2.4 x 2.4m in size, making it hexagonal in shape. This means that the front panel has got double doors in, and the panels on both sides of the doors has got a double, opening window set in each. This leaves the back three panels blank to allow the customer to arrange her furniture as she wishes against them.
The windows are leaded to add a traditional touch to the building, and the roof has got cedar shingle tiles on, a wonderfully, natural material that starts off a terracotta colour and slowly changes to a silver/grey colour as it seasons. To go with the cedar shingles, the shiplap, doors and windows have been painted in Sundrenched Blue from our exterior paint system.
For the inside of the summerhouse, the customer opted for natural matchboard lining on the walls and insulation in the walls and ceiling, so they will be able to relax in their summerhouse and appreciate their new garden (once it’s complete) all year round.
