The customer liked the chalet style of our Blakeney Summerhouse with its roof overhang, but they also liked the doors and windows of the Cley Summerhouse, so they asked if we could put the Cley doors and windows in their Blakeney, which we happily agreed to.
The windows are leaded in style for a traditional feel, and there are two double sets on each side, as well as a fanlight window in the back wall, to allow plenty of natural light inside. To help protect these opening windows, the customer also opted to have white guttering fitted along each side.
To finish off the outside, there is weatherboard cladding, which offers a more rustic look than the standard shiplap, there are terracotta slate effect tiles on the roof, and the summerhouse has been painted in two colours: the walls have been painted in Pebble, and the doors and windows in Ivory, both of which are in our exterior paint system.
Internally, the customer has made sure that their new summerhouse will be comfortable to use throughout the year, as they have chosen to have painted matchboard lining, full insulation, double glazing, a heavy duty floor, and a Light Oak lacquer on the floor.
The customer is also getting their own electrician to fit an electric pack inside for them.
