10 x 16ft Garden Office with Heating & Electrics

This 10 x 16ft Thornham was recently installed by our professional, reliable fitters for use as a versatile garden office. Equipped with insulation, double glazing and an electrical pack complete with heating, this attractive wooden office not only extends the interior living space of our customer’s home, but also allows them to have a better work-life balance with an entirely separate workspace - something many people need now that there is no longer an obligation to travel to the office.

Like all of the styles in our luxury garden building range, the Thornham benefits from an FSC© certified Scandinavian Redwood composition, which guarantees durability and hardiness. Sourced from our partnered timber mill in North Sweden, this type of timber grows slowly in colder climates, giving the wood a high density which allows it to effortlessly withstand wet weather and damp conditions without warping or rotting.   

The exterior of this 10 x 16ft office is finished in smooth shiplap cladding which gives the building a contemporary look. There is a slight overhang on the heavy-duty felt pent roof, which will give our customer some protection from the elements when locking and unlocking their new garden office, or while enjoying some fresh air by having the doors or windows slightly ajar. The double doors, along with four generously-sized windows will allow the building to be flooded with natural light, which is an essential element of a healthy and happy working environment. Inside, our customer will also benefit from double glazing, insulation, natural matchboard lining and an electrical pack with heating. All of these features were carefully selected by the customer so that they were able to start enjoying their bespoke garden office and - quite literally - get to work straightaway. With the help of the electrical pack, the customer will also be able to get wifi in their garden office too.

  In terms of finishing touches, our customer selected Verdigris as their chosen exterior paint finish, which sits beautifully alongside their existing fence and other outbuildings. The exterior spotlights and external socket included in our electrical pack will also elevate the Thornam’s use, making light work of gardening with electrical appliances and providing that extra security (and ambience) during those darker evenings.
