This 10’ x 14’ Superior Shed with apex roof has been installed in our customer’s garden so the customer has got a dedicated space for DIY projects.
The customer’s garage is for his car, so he wanted a workshop where he could work on his projects as well as store his tools, away from his car, or without having to move his car to do so. The customer’s workshop has got double doors in the gable end with a set of four windows on the right-hand side. Inside the shed, the customer has also got a workbench on the back wall.
There is heavy-duty felt on the roof, which will protect the roof from rain and other extreme weather systems for many years. It is a non-rip material as well, and it gets heat-bonded onto the roof on site, which ensures that it is waterproof.
The cladding on the workshop is shiplap; shiplap is smooth to the touch because our carpenters plane the timber before it is put together, which creates this wonderfully smooth finish.
Sikkens Walnut paint has been used to paint the cladding; Sikkens paint is a stain that is transparent so the grain of the wood is still visible underneath and it is often preferred by customers who want to keep a certain naturalness to the appearance of their garden building.
